Branding is really important to create clear communication and sets the tone and personality for your audience. Here is a glimpse of the process I completed with a favorite client of mine, Oh So Nutrition.
Getting to know you (and your business)
An important part of creating a brand is to make something that expresses your vision as well as captivating your target audience. A brand questionnaire was sent which explored the inspiration and goals of the business. It is important to figure out the brand personality. Is it playful, intelligent, sophisticated? All of this can be expressed in color palettes, photography, patterns and type treatments.
I used a mood board to confirm that I visually understand what was shared in phase one. They can be used to fine tune the tone and personality of the brand. In this instance photos and other brands were used as inspiration.
After getting feedback from my client we went through a couple rounds of revisions. The final logo works well on a variety of mediums. A guideline document was shared to ensure consistency by using the same font, colors and graphics on all marketing materials.
Expanding the Brand
